Narrowtex manufactures box pleat heading tapes, also known as café pleat header tape, which give curtains a very trim and formal appearance. The final pleating result drapes into deep folds down the full length of the curtains, resulting in perfectly spaced box pleats. Box pleats prevent pleat creep when fully pleated.
When pleating the tape, it is important to hold all three cords. The top cord automatically folds the pleat flat. To fic the pleat on the revered side and to ensure perfect hanging in the suspension system, we recommend a forked hook or hook glider to collect the pockets left and rights to the middle of the pleat. When sewing the box pleat tape onto the fabric, it is important to ensure that the upper stitching line is below the top draw cord. The tape must be leveled exactly with the upper edge of the fabric to ensure perfect functioning.
